We’ve been really taken by Robert Moon’s Darkside three-wheeler concept. Brave, refreshing and full of innovation.

We brought you Rob’s thoughts about his project in the September/October 2020 issue of TKC MAG and it brought plenty of good feedback from readers.

Rob had nailed the chassis, suspension and other technical aspects of the modern-looking trike but had launched a competition to design a body for the car. His co-judge in the competition, which drew (see what I did there! – Ed) entries from around the globe, was the lauded designer, Frank Stephenson.

After much deliberation, Frank and Rob chose the design you see More >

Max Adventure has launched what they claim is the world’s best puncture protection fluid, aimed specifically at the Vintage and Classic market.

“A puncture is no laughing matter at the best of times,” said Max Adventure’s Mac Mackenney, “but in a kit, vintage or classic car it can be more than just an inconvenience. In many cases, recovery is needed, and the stranded car and driver are vulnerable while they wait for collection, especially on ‘Smart’ motorways.”

The sealant is non-corrosive and permanent for the life of the tyre. It is easily applied through the valve, and a single More >

Another of the new wave of Graphene-based products comes from Infinity Wax and is a detailing spray within their QDX range.

Graphene is the hardest product known to man and so it follows that if you could use it as a car care product in liquid form it will be pretty successful and rugged.

A bit like an LED rechargeable torch, it doesn’t fade rather it gives great performance until it doesn’t and it goes phut!

Like that torch though you can recharge the protection on your paintwork by reapplying it. Simple as that.

QDX Graphene is very easy to apply and gave frankly More >

The Ford English axle has been around since the days of the Ford Anglia 105E/123E and Ford Prefect 107E. It was also used in performance models such as the Lotus Cortina, the Mexico, the Escort Twin Cam, the RS1600, RS1800, RS2000, the Lotus Elan and thousands of kitcars.

Despite these impressive credentials, there are areas where improvements can be made, and that’s exactly what Burton Power has done with its Lightweight Aluminium Alloy (heat-treated L169) Differential Housing – part number LSDDH1.

The Burton housing is a direct replacement for original cast iron item. It boasts a thicker flange for reduced distortion and More >

For more than 120 years, British company Castrol has been at the forefront of oil technology.

Company founder Charles Wakefield launched his first vehicle engine oil in 1906, a pioneering blend of mineral and castor oils that offered unrivalled lubrication properties.

Since then and through many further innovations, Castrol oils have lubricated the beating heart of everything from speed records to Mars missions.

Interestingly, Castrol was the first company of its kind to promote its products through sponsorship, which swiftly led to advertising and merchandising. By 1946, when the iconic Castrol Classic branding was launched, they offered a wide range of workshop regalia More >

Another product from Tenzi’s Pro Detailing range that is a conditioner that is a thick gel that you work into your leather seats and when it dries definitely felt more supple and soft to the touch.

I’m fed up with using leather conditioners, balms and potions that don’t seem to do much.

At £ 17.76 for a 700ml bottle, this one is an excellent product offering exceptional value for money.

A great new car battery memory saver for the professional vehicle workshop from Laser tools: if a vehicle’s battery is disconnected, any memory within the onboard electronics can be lost; this could be trip and fuel readings, radio presets, or even a radio code.

This memory saver (part number 7984) features an internal 12V 7Ah sealed battery and is used to preserve the on-board memory and settings. This saves valuable time spent re-entering lost codes. The memory saver is connected to the vehicle via the EOBD port or alternatively the accessory 12V power socket. Leads for both are included.

I really like the cable tie alternative, Rapstrap and rate them highly. A cable tie is great but a Rapstrap has arguably more versatility because it can be cut and tied again, which means you can get several uses from each Rapstrap thus reducing wastage.

Made from soft rubber, which is resistant to fuel, oil and other chemicals and with pack process starting at just £3 they are a bargain. More from ENDS.
