LIMITED EDITION ‘ELECTRIC’ AC COBRAS

The long and thrilling story of AC Cars is about to open a new and remarkable chapter.

AC Cars has launched a ‘new’ limited series of 12 special edition models recreated from the 1963 AC factory Le Mans cars. They will be called the AC Cobra Le Mans electric. The motor may be electric but it has 460Kw of power and 1000nM of torque (that’s the equivalent of 617bhp and 738 lb/ft).

The new cars will have bodywork sourced from AC Heritage using some of the original, now decades old, ‘technology’ employed by AC. This comprises a highly trained pair of human eyes to judge More >

IN THE POCKET

Another storage solution from Laser Tools: this set of three multi-purpose storage tool pouches (part number 7837), is ideal for carrying tools, spares, fixings, or handheld electronic devices when you’re on the go.

Manufactured from heavy-duty nylon material for durability, they each have a hanging loop and smooth zipper close and are water-resistant to protect tools from water and stains. There are three different sizes in the set: 30 x 23cm, 23 x 18cm, and 18 x 14cm. The smallest of which would be ideal for protecting your mobile phone and the largest is big enough to hold most regular-sized spanners More >

FORGE’S NEW HEAD WARMING SYSTEM

Gloucester-based Forge Motorsport has expanded its traditional repertoire of cool, aftermarket tuning hardware with a new, personal head-warming system that definitely falls into the ‘soft wear’ category.

Perfectly timed to coincide with the arrival of autumn, the Forge Motorsport beanie delivers more than you would expect from a hat. Knitted in a classic beanie style, the double layer weave provides welcome insulation for the bonce when you’re working in the cold. It also features our bold blue logo embroidered on the cuff so enthusiasts can show their allegiance to the Forge Nation.

But there is a time when the new Forge Motorsport More >

RALLY DESIGN TURN UP THE PRESSURE

Talk to any professional car cleaner – or even enthusiastic and serious home detailer – and he will tell you that water flow is more important than pressure.

The pressure will lift the dirt, but water is needed to clear the debris. In fact, too much pressure with insufficient water flow will damage vehicle paintwork, especially if cleaning grit or sand off the bodywork.

The BLACKLINE CWP 3000 is tuned to offer a flow of 12 litres/min (3.2gpm) at 3000psi (207bar), the high flow rate makes this machine ideal for washing cars properly.

It is supplied with high-pressure armoured hose and five quick-change multi-purpose nozzles, soap More >

NEW DASHCAM FROM PIONEER

Pioneer’s dash cameras can be described as providing an extra eye on the road. Recording what is in front of them with unblinking diligence and in full HD resolution, they offer peace of mind in being able to capture events in real-time, which, in turn, can protect the user from fraudulent insurance claims.

The latest model to join the Pioneer dash camera line-up is the new VREC-DZ600, a high-performance single channel model that offers a class-leading level of features yet requires only a small area of windscreen real estate.

Pioneer VREC-DZ600 highlight features:

* Wide 160-degree recording angle * Rotating camera head to More >

LIKE THE MAPS? HERE’S THE TOWELS

We all know about the high-quality and informative maps produced by the Ordnance Survey. I collect them – old and new – and although we’re increasingly reliant on satnav devices these days I think there is something extra special about a proper paper map.

I really like their latest addition their Giant Trek Towels, which include locations such as the Brecon Beacons, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.

Whether you’re day-tripping or hiking through the range – admire the landscape wherever you are.

The OS Giant Trek Towel is super soft, lightweight, highly absorbent, and dries eight times faster than the average towel! It is More >

NEW DJC V-STORM – IT’S A BEAST!

I’m a big fan of the V-Storm WR3 and it’s hard to believe it’s some 12-years since it first appeared, making its debut under the car’s original creator, Simon Dickens of SDR Sportscars. The design was by the very talented and under-rated designer, Simon Keys.

Originally the three-seat; central driving position exo-skeletal was powered by Aprilia RSV-1000 bike engine but soon changed to Subaru Impreza EJ20 flat-four ‘boxer’.

Dickens was based in Oldham, but after a couple of years moved way down west to Truro, Cornwall, and it wasn’t long before Scoobybits boss, Jason MacDonald stepped into to offer the kit and More >
