The National Kit Car Motor Show at Stoneleigh back in 1990, saw Andy Burrows introduce the Gardner Douglas brand to the kitcar market with their very their first model, the GD427 Mk3.
Very soon the GD was gaining much critical acclaim for its smooth, rattle-free road manners, roadholding and general performance. This was all largely due to their refreshing approach with the chassis underpinnings and body structure of their package.

Ultima Sports has announced the launch of an exciting new, updated model called the Ultima Evolution, which is available in both Coupe and Convertible forms and they replace the Ultima GTR and Ultima Can-Am, which are both now discontinued.

Tiger Racing boss, Jim Dudley, has been in touch to tell me about his new ERA 30 Lotus 23 replica package.

Three fine Kent-based manufacturers are pooling certain resources for kit sales, builds and kitcar show appearances although all three – Fury Sportscars, Aeon Sportscars and GKD Sportscars – remain independent.
First result of this link-up is that they’ll be sharing a stand at the forthcoming Stoneleigh show, the first appearance for Aeon, in particular, for several years. The company, based in Marden, are kept busy with their crop sprayers, although have always kept their kitcar products going and they also produce the chassis’ – rather handily – for Fury and GKD.
