SOLE SURVIVOR
Dec 1st
The ingenious Survivor Socket from Laser Tools (part number 6693) is the one socket that fits fasteners of almost any shape, square, hex, metric, imperial, spline, star, hooks and even wingnuts!
The 43 steel spring pins within the Survivor Socket instantly conform and lock onto any shape nut bolt or fastener, within the sizes specified: metric 9-21mm and Imperial 11/32in – 13/16in.
As the fastener is turned, the torque is transmitted through the steel pins to the walls of the socket, which is manufactured from chrome vanadium; this makes the Survivor Socket an ideal choice for heavy-duty personal or professional use.

Dec 1st
AP Racing, the leading manufacturer of performance braking and clutch systems for road and race use, is introducing of new range of centre valve high-efficiency master cylinders.

In normal braking operations, seals travel past the cut-off port before high pressure has built up in the system. Seal heel nibble can occur during braking when, in More >

Slick tyres are the ultimate, the last word in performance driving and grip, able to transform the handling capabilities of any car that they’re fitted to. Clearly unsuitable for use on the public road or in anything other than bone dry conditions, there’s nevertheless a large and growing market for specialist slick tyres, primarily amongst those that regularly attend track days or partake in club-level motorsport. This explains why Toyo, one of the most respected performance tyre makers around, has developed the Proxes RS1, a full slick competition tyre available in a variety of popular sizes.

NEW NUMBER FOR TYPE 65
Nov 17th
At the recent SEMA show in Las Vegas, Factory Five Racing launched the latest Gen 3 version of their Type 65 Roadster, which looks quite wonderful, from what I can see.
Said to be the world’s largest kitcar manufacturer, in volume terms, FFR’s MD, Dave Smith and R&D chief, Jim Schenck got to work completely re-designing the car originally launched 15-years ago.
The old 4in round-tube chassis was ditched and an all-new spaceframe was created with the aid of CAD, plus floors lowered by 2½in with the result being a frame said to be over seven times more torsionally stiff when compared More >
