ELECTRONIC MEASUREMENT
Now, kitcars with rear-wheel-drive Ford set-ups can be fitted with electronic speedometers thanks to a new sensor from Burton Power.
The sensor will connect to most Ford RWD gearboxes that have an M18 x 1.5 speedometer cable output thread.
The sensor gives an eight pulse per revolution signal and is just 45mm in length which means it can be mounted within most transmission tunnels.
Connection to the electronic speedometer is by means of a three-wire connector: pickup, live and an earth. Order as part number REVT9-A at £46.20 inc VAT.
