GET A GRIP!

As major Quaife dealers, Burton Power can now offer the Quaife ATB Differential for the Ford Atlas 16 spline axle which was originally fitted to the 1960’s Transit Mk1 and later to the powerful Capri Mk2/3 V6 models, 2.0/2.3 Cortinas and the Sierra based P100s pickups. This unit is also ideal for use in competition Escorts.

Therefore, this fits literally loads of kitcars.

The Quaife ATB is a direct replacement for the standard ‘open’ differential.

Unlike a conventional plate-style limited slip unit, these units employ gears, rather than clutch plates for a much smoother operation. The Quaife ATB automatically biases the torque, to More >

PULL THE PIN

Pulling multi-pin electrical connectors apart can (literally) be a pain sometimes, especially if you’re struggling to access a harness connection between the engine and bulkhead or behind the gearbox. The new connector removal tool from Laser Tools (part number 8254) will help. It’s for use on vehicle electrical connectors that use a single locking catch mechanism – the simple design allows the lock button to be pushed down and pulled back, releasing the connector with ease.

The compact design (overall length just 95mm) is ideal where space is limited. The soft-dipped handle makes it easy to grip and comfortable to use. More >

NO OIL ON THIS SWEATSHIRT

For more than 120 years, British company Castrol has been at the forefront of oil technology. Company founder Charles Wakefield launched his first vehicle engine oil in 1906, a pioneering blend of mineral and castor oils that offered unrivalled lubrication properties. Since then, and through many further innovations, Castrol oils have lubricated the beating heart of everything from speed records to Mars missions.

Interestingly, Castrol was the first company of its kind to promote its products through sponsorship, which swiftly led to advertising and merchandising. By 1946, when the iconic Castrol Classic branding was launched, Castrol offered a wide range of More >

HIGH ROLLERS

Just when you thought camshaft lifter design had pretty much run its course, COMP Cams comes up with a new twist. The Evolution Hydraulic Roller Lifters use COMP’s patented Hydraulic Cartridge Technology – HCT for short – to deliver unparalleled precision and longer life than previous designs.

Each self-contained hydraulic lifter features a thick-wall body to increase strength and reduce oil volume. Because the lifter has less oil, aeration is significantly reduced and the bleed rates between lifters become much more consistent. The reduced oil volume increases the lifters’ responsiveness and reduces start-up noise too, and precision-engineered bleed down rates ensure More >
