A great product that I spotted at the Race Retro show is The Rollout Cover, designed and produced in the UK, which as the name suggests, is a car cover that, er, rolls out and is a bespoke, handmade product, made in the UK. BLEEDING FALL-OUT

One of the growing number of ‘bleeding’ fall-out removers, these products turn purple when they are activated and react with iron filings and crud on your wheels or bodywork.
The latest product to be launched comes from car care meisters, Autoglym in the form of their brand-new MAGMA.
One of my cars had some very dirty and muddy wheels and at 21in diameter items they gave me a chance to try the product out. It doesn’t smell quite as ‘hair bleachy’ as other similar products but it’s still not a very pleasant smell.

One of my favourite car care brands is Herefordshire-based Auto-Glanz, founded by Joe Partridge in 2013, since when the brand has become extremely popular within the detailing scene.

MERLIN’S MAGIC KEEPS IT CHARGED

LEVERAGE

Rusty, tight or seized nuts? To gain some extra leverage it can be tempting to use two spanners, hooking one over the end of the other — the so-called ‘two-spanner trick’.
However, that can be a dangerous idea, as spanners are not shaped or designed to grip another spanner, and when they slip, the result can be heavily skinned knuckles, or worse!
