One of the growing number of ‘bleeding’ fall-out removers, these products turn purple when they are activated and react with iron filings and crud on your wheels or bodywork.

The latest product to be launched comes from car care meisters, Autoglym in the form of their brand-new MAGMA.

One of my cars had some very dirty and muddy wheels and at 21in diameter items they gave me a chance to try the product out. It doesn’t smell quite as ‘hair bleachy’ as other similar products but it’s still not a very pleasant smell.

It goes on quite thick and coverage is good via the spray trigger. I left it to work for a couple of minutes and when I returned the wheels were a very deep purple colour, which indicated that the wheels were indeed very dirty and that MAGMA had grabbed hold of the dirt and suspended it, awaiting my spray washer to rinse it off.

As you can see the results were pretty impressive.
