Merlin Motorsport sells some great aluminium tanks, swirl pots and reservoir catch tanks down at their Wiltshire HQ in various shapes, sizes and capacities.

A particularly neat tank is this 3/4 litre oil catch tank pictured below. It is flush-mounting, the rear of the tank is completely flat, allowing you to bolt it straight to a bulkhead or flat panel. It also features 1/2in push-on inlets, a breathable cap, a sight level gauge and a drain plug.
While this may be small in capacity, it is ideal for trackday and kitcars where a certain size catch tank is not mandatory. It’s a simple and neat way to remove those oily, gunky vapours from your engine’s intake system – improving overall engine performance.
