LOVE THIS! Porsche Lizard Green looks fab

New manufacturer, Bat Cars, run by Richard Batey has announced their new RB200. Sure, it looks like an RS200 but it’s actually described by Richard as being a respectful tip of the hat to the legendary Ford.

By day, Richard, based in Carlisle, runs The Immortal tattoo Studio and what started out as a one-off for him, grew legs when other people saw it and wanted ‘replicas’.

The RB200 is based on Toyota MR2 Mk3 (1999-2007) and the kit includes all GRP body panels and mounting brackets, and the MR2’s unwanted architecture is simply unbolted and the replacements are then bolted into place.

Richard has taken advantage of the hundreds of millions of Yen that Totota spent on developing the MR2 and so has wisely chosen to utliise as many original parts as possible including the doors and associated mechanisms, meaning shut line quality is first class.

The amendments to the original shape are pleasing on the eye although if you are a purist and you want an exact replica there are other kits that will satisfy your requirements because as Richard says, he’s not trying to make an exact copy.

We’re delighted that we have the EXCLUSIVE first test on this one and first customer, Paul Higham from Essex has been out and about in his very eyecatching lime green RB200 and his car will be starring in TKC MAG very soon.

In the meantime, more from www.rb200.co.ik ENDS.
