Always good to hear about new kitcar products regardless of where they are located in the world. I expect, dear reader, you remember the MGF-based Speedster from Australia we covered in late 2024.
Well, here’s another one from the Southern Hemisphere, a company that makes several classic replicas, one of them being a Speedster. The operations is based in Bali of all places. (who even knew that they had a motor industry?) and the company is called Tuksedo (sic) Studio and based in Gianyar in Regency Province.
It was actually former Caterham Cars technical guru, Clive Roberts who tipped me off about this one. He loves lives in Thailand and became aware of Tuksedo Studio via one of his friends.
They appear to produce the following replicas – Porsche Speedster, Porsche 550 Spyder, Mercedes 300 SL ‘Gullwing’, BMW 507 and Porsche 356 Coupé.
There are companies in Bali who hire classic cars out to tourists who want to waft the paradise island in style, but I think Tuksedo Studio is the only one producing replicas. More on the company when I find out more information.
