CHEVROLET CORVETTE C4/FERRARI TESTAROSSA SPYDER REPLICA

This vehicle was made in California, USA from a base car of a 1991 Corvette Convertible C4 5.7 V8 Tpi automatic. ‘A proper car’ the current owner says adding ‘THIS IS ONE OF A KIND and has the best fibreglass panel and bodywork I’ve ever seen’. He has owned the car for 26 years.

Spec is high and includes Sabelt racing harnesses, Compomotive split rim wheels, custom mats, Nardi steering wheel, genuine badges, Sony ten-disc stereo and Bose subwoofer, 11mm high tension leads, talking alarm, aluminium grilles, quick shift kit in the gearbox, etc.

If you are located in the UK, you will have to register this vehicle in the UK. Although the owner has the US document and it helps being over 30 years old. If you don’t want to register it yourself there are people who can do it for you for a reasonable fee.

The car starts and drives but needs more re-commissioning, it is running but lacks full power (was perfect before being stored in Marbella and south of France). One of the roof supports needs welding (but opens and closes easily), three tyres have perished, the paintwork is 98 per cent good, fuel gauge always reads full.

The owner has allowed for these faults in the pricing, the car would be double the price if it was perfect. At this money, it’s the cost of a decent base car and it only has 50,000 miles under its belt!

This is an amazing-looking, sounding and driving car. The price of a real one is approximately €250,000 if you can find one.
