IDEAL FOR KITCAR OWNERS!

Max Adventure has launched what they claim is the world’s best puncture protection fluid, aimed specifically at the Vintage and Classic market.

“A puncture is no laughing matter at the best of times,” said Max Adventure’s Mac Mackenney, “but in a kit, vintage or classic car it can be more than just an inconvenience. In many cases, recovery is needed, and the stranded car and driver are vulnerable while they wait for collection, especially on ‘Smart’ motorways.”

The sealant is non-corrosive and permanent for the life of the tyre. It is easily applied through the valve, and a single bottle treats most classic vehicles. Wheel balance is unaffected, and when the time comes to replace the tyre the sealant is simply wiped from the wheel rim with a damp cloth. If you tow your kitcar or Classic, the trailer and tow vehicle tyres can be treated just as easily.

Their product seals punctures, instantly and permanently, up to 1in (25mm) in diameter, and is effective 95 per cent of the time in tubeless tyres. Unusually, it is also effective in tubed tyres, albeit with a 75 per cent effectiveness.

“The product is used by British Special Forces,” said Mac, who himself is an extreme adventurer whose exploits have taken him to the North Pole, the Sahara and the Himalayas.

He also broke the London to Cape Town record in 2010, under the patronage of racing legend Sir Stirling Moss, setting a time of 11 days, 14 hours and 11 minutes and led Hollywood actors Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill and Adrien Brody along the coldest, hottest and toughest roads in the world for an award-winning series on Discovery Channel. “It’s a product for people who want to get to their destination without drama,” he smiled.

Max Adventure Vintage and Classic Tyre Sealant is available from Fuzz Townshend’s Classic Oils at Bicester Heritage, who will also be establishing a UK stockist network in due course. A 1-litre bottle is priced at £59.95.
