A REAL HAMMER BLOW

Steel hammers can easily damage aluminium components, while copper hammers, although softer, quickly deform with repeated use. The new Laser Tools 9389 Automotive Brass Hammer provides the ideal balance, combining a durable, drop-forged brass head with a high-strength fibreglass handle to deliver controlled striking power without damaging delicate components.

Brass is harder and more durable than copper, yet remains significantly softer than steel, making it ideal for driving pins and bearings, freeing seized components and working on aluminium hubs, suspension parts and other precision assemblies. Its non-marring properties help protect machined surfaces, while its non-sparking and non-magnetic characteristics make it suitable for use around open fuel systems and other environments where spark generation must be avoided.

The 2.5lb (1.1kg) hammer features a drop-forged brass head for long service life and consistent performance. The lightweight fibreglass handle incorporates a polypropylene overstrike jacket with a thermoplastic rubber grip, providing excellent vibration damping, secure handling and enhanced durability. A widened neck section offers additional protection against accidental overstrikes.

Measuring 338 mm overall, with an 89 mm head and 31 mm striking faces, the hammer delivers the weight and control required for demanding automotive maintenance while helping to protect expensive vehicle components.

Whether working on suspension, hubs, bearings or drivetrain assemblies, the Laser Tools 9389 is designed to become an indispensable addition to the professional technician’s toolbox.
