I am a big fan of the gauges produced by American manufacturer, Speedhut, which produces specific ranges for specific vehicles such as Cobra and classic VW, plus they also do five ranges within their Universal-fit banner.
These are Revolution, Antigue, Legacy, Street XL and Icon. The latter are all-in-one cluster type and ideal where space is tight but you need a reliable, display.
I have a couple of friends who use their Revolution range which is available in 2 1/16, 2 5/8, 3 3/8, 4 1/2 and 4in diameters, with no fewer than 33 different gauge types from the obligatory, water temp, speedo, rev counter and fuel level to stuff nitrous oxide pressure, differential temperature and even cylinder head temperature.
There are two different colour faces to choose from and these gauges are high-performance with precision stepper motor movements and look great. Although based in America, Speedhut ship worldwide.
The other universal gauges ranges are Street XL, which are modern-looking with oversized readings that give great visibility, Legacy, which have a classic look with modern precision and antique which are vintage inspired gauges.
