There are assembly manuals and then there is the Dutton assembly manual for the MX-5 Mk3-based Phæton 5, which according to Tim Dutton, is bringing a new dimension to kitcar building.

The all new Dutton assembly manual for 2026 (£15 inc p&p refunded with kit) contains 47 pages, 75 large colour photos and is ring-bound so all pages open flat and in clear – easy to read – print.
The first six pages are a preamble explaining the layout of the manual, it is then split into three sections. It can also be downloaded FOC from Tim’s website, but when I downloaded one it used an entire colour print cartridge due to the sheer number and high quality of the photos (so best do it at work, eh?!).
Section 1 Mazda strip down
