Mini Spares has commissioned the manufacture of a new brake master cylinder with a 3/4in bore and a period-correct flat top outlet rather than the current pointed type.
The brake fluid pipe goes directly into the flat top rather than to the original troublesome union (which is no longer available).
The larger bore is also ideal for kitcar with four-pot brake calipers or other performance modifications which demand more fluid and pressure.
The new master cylinder can be ordered as part number GMC153 at £150.76 inc VAT.
Also, to complement the pre-1964 flat top tank design, Mini Spares has also made clutch (AAU4969FLAT- £118.68 inc. VAT) and brake (GMC172FLAT- £118.68 inc. VAT) master cylinders.
