ADVANCED DASH CAM

GKU, a developer of advanced in-car camera technology has announced the UK launch of the GKU D600 Pro Max 4K+1080P Front and Rear Dash Cam, a premium dual-channel system designed to deliver high-clarity evidence, safer everyday recording and dependable parked-vehicle protection.

The D600 Pro Max records in true 4K on the front camera and 1080P on the rear camera simultaneously, helping capture detailed footage from both directions while driving. A wide 170-degree front lens and 160-degree rear lens provide broad multi-lane coverage, helping reduce blind spots while capturing clearer evidence of road conditions, incidents and surrounding traffic activity.

At the heart of the front camera is an upgraded Sony IMX675 STARVIS 2 sensor, paired with an F1.5 front aperture, F1.8 rear aperture and HDR/WDR imaging support. The combination is designed to improve visibility and image clarity in low-light environments, including night driving, tunnels, poor weather conditions and high-contrast lighting situations. Enhanced highlight control and sharper detail reproduction help deliver more usable footage when it matters most.

The D600 Pro Max also introduces high-speed WiFi 6 connectivity with dual-band 5.8GHz and 2.4GHz support, enabling download speeds of up to 20MB/s through the GKU GO App. Drivers can preview, download and share footage directly from a smartphone without needing to remove the memory card. Built-in GPS adds additional driving context by recording speed, route and location information alongside video footage, supporting insurance claims, incident review and journey tracking.

For parked vehicle protection, the D600 Pro Max supports 24-hour parking monitoring when connected to a compatible hardwire kit, sold separately. Parking features include time-lapse recording, collision detection and collision pre-recording technology that buffers footage before an impact occurs and continues recording for 30 to 60 seconds afterwards. This added context can help preserve crucial moments that traditional parking systems may miss.

Hands-free voice control support allows users to operate key functions using simple spoken commands, including taking photos, switching between front and rear camera views, controlling audio recording and locking important video files without taking hands off the wheel. Loop recording continuously captures footage while automatically overwriting older unlocked files, while the built-in G-Sensor and collision detection system automatically locks emergency footage to help prevent important recordings from being lost.

The dash cam features a built-in 3in IPS screen for playback and setup, along with a Type-C power interface for stable DC 5V-3A power delivery. Video is recorded in MP4 format using H.265 encoding for efficient storage management. The system supports microSD cards ranging from 64GB to 512GB, although a memory card is not included in the package. GKU recommends using a high-performance U3 or V30 card to ensure stable 4K recording performance.

Built to withstand demanding driving environments, the D600 Pro Max operates in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 70°C and includes support for anti-flicker modes at both 50Hz and 60Hz. The package includes the D600 Pro Max front camera, a 1080P rear camera with a 6-metre extension cable, a power cable with car charger, windshield suction mount, 3M sticky mount, cable clips, sticky tapes, wire trim tool, electrostatic films and a user manual. The hardwire kit and memory card are sold separately.
