I have a real liking for sixties racecar transporters and this new 1:64 scale model of the Fiat 642 Bartoletti RN2 Ferrari team truck complete with Ferrari 250 GTO on its roof set my pulse racing. Rather than the expected 600 quid price I was delighted to find that it comes from Hot Wheels’ Premium and costs just £19.99!
Hot Wheels’ Premium range has form with transporter models and this one is their most authentic effort yet. Detailing is great and it even wears Modena-issue numberplates, the correct wheels and the little ramp slides.
The miniature GTO is a 1962 car and modelled on the car owned by Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason since 1978. if you want to customise this package, you could buy one of Hot Wheels Ferrari 330 P4s, which would look great sitting on the transporter.
