Over the years alloy parts in an engine’s cooling system – particularly the thermostat housing – tend to corrode leading to unsightly green oxidation and eventually coolant leaks.
In addition to the Mini Spares thermostat housing for early Minis also released this month (see separate press release) the company has a new thermostat housing for the very late Single Points Minis, automatic Minis and Japanese spec cars where the outlet was moved 45 degrees further away from the engine compared to the old original 12G103 shape.
This style of thermostat housing was fitted to SPi Minis from 134456 onwards.
The offset alloy thermostat housing can be ordered as part number PEQ100690 at £41.40 inc VAT.
