The Magnificent Sevens, as well as being one of my favourite film series, is also a superb Lotus Seven-inspired race series administered by the Classic Sports Car Club (CSCC).
For the first time, 2026 will for the first time see the GBS Zero competing in this great series. GBS co-director, Ruth Hall told me: “It’s great to see that Zeros will be taking part in this year’s Magnificent Sevens race series — and we can’t wait.

‘It’s a competitive championship for lightweight, Lotus Seven-inspired sportscars, bringing together drivers and teams to race at some of the UK’s best circuits in the UK.
“It’s all about close racing, driver skill and enjoying these cars exactly as they were designed to be used – on track as well as the road.
“We’re very excited to confirm that four Zeros are already entered to compete this year. We’re really looking forward to being involved in the series, attending a number of the events ourselves. Click here to find out more about the Magnificent Seven racing series.”
The company will also be holding a trackday on Saturday, April 25th at Blyton Park.
