This one is aimed primarily at our growing number of North American readers, although Summit Racing ships worldwide.
Created with help from GM race teams and seasoned engine builders, Summit Racing™ Pro LT Hydraulic Roller Camshafts are designed to be the most powerful and reliable on the market.

Here’s what Summit says makes them the best:
• Manufactured from American-made bearing steel billets
• Heat-treated using a specialised proprietary process to the highest possible grade
• Precision-machined on modern CNC equipment using a CBN diamond grinding wheel for superior roundness, eccentricity, and runout
• Cam lobes are machined to remain stable at high RPMs using the factory 1.8 ratio rocker arms
• AFM delete for reliability
• Smaller duration cams are VVT-limited with Cam Phaser Limiters to optimize power over a wider power band
• Larger duration cams are VVT-deleted for better timing stability at higher RPMs
• Larger fuel pump lobes ensure proper fuel delivery and control
Summit Racing™ Pro LT Street/Strip Cams
The Summit Racing™ Pro LT Street/Strip Cams take full advantage of the Gen V cylinder head’s high-flow capabilities to make more power throughout the RPM range. They are designed to work with beehive valve springs for increased RPM without wear and tear on the valvetrain.
The Stage 1 cam works well in a daily driver or a tow vehicle with a noticeable lope at idle. The Stage 2 cam is more aggressive and trades a little low-end for more midrange and top-end power. It has a steady lope at idle, and adding headers and free flowing mufflers is recommended.
The Stage 3 and 4 cams have racy, choppy idles and significantly increase power from 4,500 RPM and up. If you’re running an automatic transmission, you’ll need a higher-stall torque converter. Headers and a free-flowing exhaust are mandatory.
Summit Racing™ Pro LT Turbo Cams
Summit Racing™ Pro LT Turbo Cams were designed to make full power with an OEM LT4 fuel pump. The cam’s valve events are timed to complement turbo spool rates to reduce the harmful effects of reversion on gaskets and piston ring end gaps. Performance valve springs are required.
Choose the Stage 1 cam if you want amazing performance in your daily driver and desire a noticeable lope at idle. The Stage 2 cam features a strong, steady lope at idle and exchanges a little bottom-end for more midrange and top-end power. You’ll need a mild-stall torque converter in your automatic transmission-equipped whip.
Summit Racing™ Pro LT Single Plane Intake Cams
With lower-mile Gen III/IV LS engines becoming increasingly hard to find, people are seeking out Gen V LT engines for their engine swaps nowadays. It’s a good plan in theory, but the factory-installed cams are optimized to support the LT’s modern whiz-bang features (direct fuel injection, variable-vane oil pump, displacement-on-demand, computer controls, etc.). That’s bad news if you don’t want to run that stuff.
Enter the Summit Racing™ Pro LT Single Plane Intake Cams. They’re designed to operate without all those features so you can use carburetors or the port or throttle body fuel injection. Performance valve springs will be required.
The Stage 1 cam is great for daily drivers and works well with factory torque converters and exhaust systems, with a nice mild lope at idle. The Stage 2 cam has a lopey idle and works well in daily drivers too, although its higher powerband necessitates a mild-stall torque converter. The cam benefits from headers and a free-flowing exhaust system.
The Stage 3 cam is intended for rowdy weekend drivers and entry level race cars. Headers and a free-flowing exhaust are necessary, and automatic transmission vehicles require a medium-stall torque converter. There’s a mild chopping lope with this one. The Stage 4 cam is intended for racing vehicles. It delivers monstrous midrange torque and a full choppy idle. A high-stall speed torque converter, headers, and racing exhaust are required. Flycutting the pistons may also be necessary.
The Stage 5 cam is the one you want in your race car for enormous midrange and top-end power. This cam requires flycut or aftermarket pistons, a high-stall speed torque converter, headers, and racing exhaust. The mean, choppy idle will send shivers down people’s spines.
Summit Racing™ Performance Beehive Valve Spring Set for Gen V LT Engines
If the Pro LT cam of your choice is one of the models that requires upgraded valve springs, we have you covered. The Summit Racing™ Performance Beehive Valve Spring Set for Gen V LT Engines maintains excellent control at high RPMs without beating up the valvetrain. The reduced valve spring and retainer mass ensures stability, which in turn reduces valve float, extends the RPM range, and greatly reduces valvetrain wear.
The Summit Racing™ Beehive Valve Spring Set for Gen V LT Engines is made from PACaloy ovate wire that is heat-treated for precise spring rates and improved strength. It works with the factory retainers, locks, and seals without modification.
