MEV KITCAR – BUILDING THE FOUNDATIONS (I’M WELL PLEASED WITH THAT ONE!)

Exciting news this week from the 750 Motor Club is the MEV SPORT SPECIALS EXOCET FOUNDATION PROGRAMME.

The cost is £19,999 inc taxes. There is no extra VAT to pay on top. Only some elements of the package contents include VAT, so the price is not ‘including VAT’ per se.

The Sport Specials-spec MEV Exocet is based on Mazda MX5 Mk3 with 2-litre VVT engine, limited-slip differential, MEV designed G-Type chassis and fibreglass bodywork, GAZ Gold adjustable suspension, Energy Suspension polybush kit, refurbished subframes and wishbones, MEV lightweight aluminium fuel tank, induction kit, IL Motorsport stainless steel manifold with stainless steel exhaust system, new brakes (discs/calipers/pads) with PBS Protrack pads all round, HEL Braided brake lines throughout the car with a bias valve, M2 Motorsport aluminium radiator, lightweight Team Dynamics Pro Race LT wheels, Yokohama A052 215x40x17in tyres.

The Exocet runs in its own class within the 750 Motor Club’s Sport Specials Championship. This is the UK’s only championship dedicated to kitcars from every recognised manufacturer as well as one-off sportcars with production car engines and gearboxes. It is the successor to the Kit Car Challenge of 1985.

Founded in 1939, 750 Motor Club is the home of affordable motorsport, and one of the UK’s leading providers of club-level circuit racing. 750MC operate 25+ different series and championships and run 25-30 race days each season across different venues, typically with the UK’s biggest grid average year-on-year.

There will be a total of thirteen races in the 2026 Sport Specials Championship season across five separate events. The Foundation Programme includes entry fees to all of these events.
