Ford’s Zetec E engines originally came with a plastic thermostat housing which had a tendency to leak. Fortunately, Burton Power has the remedy in the form of a heavy duty replacement thermostat housing made from cast aluminium instead of the usual plastic.
The aluminium housing is a direct replacement on ‘silver top’ engines. The housing can also be used on ‘black top’ engines by using Screw-in Coolant Sensor XTT221 and Sender Blanking Bung FP503 (the screw-in coolant sensor is far more reliable than the factory push-in type).
