Disc Brakes Australia (DBA) 4000 Series Brake Rotors are an excellent upgrade for OEM rotors for street performance and trackday use.
The ClubSpec 4000 T3 Rotors are perfect for serious street and weekend track use. The single- piece rotors are cast from high carbon iron alloy and are given DBA’s Thermal Stability Profiling (TSP) heat treatment process. It increases rotor stability and durability caused by the stress and heat generated under intense braking conditions.
The ClubSpec 4000 T3 Rotors have a slot design with CNC-machined tri-symmetrical slots. This increases the number of exit points for brake pad friction, dust, and gases to escape through. That increases braking consistency and effectiveness, and also provides a responsive and smooth brake pedal feel.
The rotors also have DBA’s Kangaroo Paw ventilation design. It uses 144 diamond and teardrop patterned pillars to increase rotor surface area up to 30 percent and improve cooling efficiency by 20 percent compared to rotors with a straight-vane design. They also have Thermographic Heat Paint (TGHP) stripes that change color at certain temperature thresholds. That is a big help in managing brake system heat issues.
HD Series 4000XS Rotors are for street performance and daily driver use. They are made from the same high-carbon iron alloy material and have the same Kangaroo Paw ventilation design as the ClubSpec 4000 T3 rotors. The 4000XS rotors have a cross-drilled and slotted design for effective removal of brake dust and gases from the surface for strong, consistent brake performance. DBA applies TGHP stripes to the rotors as well.
