One for our North American readers – Protect Your Expensive Turbo with Turbo-Guard Turbo Inlet Screens and Blankets
Turbochargers are a lot of fun and can make lots of horsepower. They’re also expensive. Protect yours with Turbo-Guard Turbo Inlet Screens and Turbo Blankets so it will make power for a good long time.
Turbo-Guard Turbo Inlet Screens

A good low-restriction air filter element is the best choice to keep debris and fine particles out of your turbocharger’s air inlet. But if you have a turbo setup that has absolutely no room for a filter, a Turbo-Guard Turbo Inlet Screen will keep large debris out of the turbo to prevent catastrophic failure without restricting airflow. The one-piece design has a stainless steel mesh screen molded underneath the stainless steel clamp for better protection and easy installation/removal.
Turbo-Guard Turbo Inlet Screens are strongly recommended for race use only. They can’t protect against long-term damage from dust and fine particles encountered during street use.
MAXX Inlet Screens
Turbo-Guard MAXX Inlet Screens provide an 81 percent open area for less airflow restriction. They can withstand 500-plus PSI without collapsing and are available for 4-, 5-, 5.5-, and 6-inch diameter inlets.
Ultra Inlet Screens
The Turbo-Guard Ultra Inlet Screens have the same 500 PSI blowout rating as the Turbo-Guard MAXX screens but have smaller holes to provide better filtration. They are available for 3-, 3.5-, 4-, 5-, and 5.5-inch diameter inlets.
Blower-Guard Inlet Screens
Turbo-Guard Blower-Guard Inlet Screens are a great choice for use with centrifugal superchargers. They have the same screen design as the Ultra Inlet Screens and 500-plus PSI blowout rating. Blower-Guard Inlet Screens are available to fit 3.5-, 3.75-, and 4-inch diameter inlets.
SF+ Inlet Screens
SF+ Inlet Screens have a very tight mesh with 0.06-inch openings for even better filtration. Turbo-Guard says the SF+ screens have an exceptional lifespan and can even outlasting the turbo itself under normal circumstances. The screens can handle up to 200 PSI and are available for inlets ranging from 2.5 to 5.5 inches in diameter.

Turbo-Guard Turbo Blankets keep turbo heat on the hot side of the turbo where it belongs. That protects the rest of the engine from damage while decreasing turbo lag and improving spoolup time. The blankets have a dual-layer ceramic core that’s rated to handle 2,500 degrees F and are double-stitched for added durability. Take your choice of blankets with a titanium-look fiberglass shell or a carbon fiber shell that is 10 percent lighter. Turbo-Guard Turbo Blankets are available for T3, T4, and T6 style turbos.
