I’m continually tempted by a nicely done diecast car model.
The latest one to capture my attention is this one from Mattel, part of their Elite 64 Series and is a lovely litle take on the roadgoing and shortlived McLaren M6GT, which was intended as a supercar for the road.
Three examples were built for Bruce McLaren by Peter Agg’s Trojan Cars operation in Croydon before it was canned as being too expensive to build plus it became apparent that a roadgoing version of a Can-Am racer was never going to be practical!
I believe Bruce McLaren used one as his daily driver and I am certain that at a party at his house, his wife managed to reverese it into their swimming pool.
Anyway, this Hot Wheels version looks great in bright orange and it can be yours for £24.
