The lovely 900cc three-pot in my Smart ForFour was feeling a bit sluggish recently so I decided to give it a boost, literally.

Therefore, I obtained a can of Bardahl Plasma LXR Oil Booster the other day and I decided to give it a whirl.
All that’s needed is to add a full tin to the pre-warmed up engine oil of your car. One can treats up to 6-litres of oil. It’s compatible with any type of oil and is said to be particularly beneficial to hybrid, diesel (Euro 6) and petrol engines.
Now, I’m not going to say that the engine now feels transformed and clearly has double the horsepower it had before I used Bardhal Oil Booster but it feels perkier.

Bardahl PLASMA LXR Oil Booster is claimed to improve all the physicochemical properties of engine oils. Perfectly suitable for recent engines and 0W, 5W and 10W fluid lubricants.
Bardahl says that the addition of PLASMA LXR Oil Booster into the engine allows to:
Reduce the engine operating temperature
Increase the viscosity index and improve the oil stability at very low and very high temperatures, including in extreme racing conditions
Improve the pumpability of oil at cold temperatures
Help reduce fuel and energy consumption
Extend mechanical parts lifespan
Limit CO2 emissions
A 400ml can costs £29.99 and is available now via www.bardahl.co.uk ENDS.
