These versatile universal joint sets (3/8in drive – part number 9048; 1/2in drive – part number 9049), are designed to be used with impact wrenches, and offer unparalleled access to hard-to-reach fixings in engine bays, suspension and exhaust systems, etc.
They fit directly onto the impact driver and each set features three interchangeable drive adaptors (1/4in, 3/8in, and 1/2in drive for the 9048 and 3/8in, 1/2in and 3/4in drive for the 9049) that lock securely in place with a quick-release collar. Designed with a 25°–30° working angle and full 360° rotation, these swivel socket adaptors will speed up these awkward jobs and are also ideal for repetitive assembly work.
The adaptors are manufactured from tough chrome-molybdenum steel for high-impact performance and supplied in a compact EVA foam tray (37 x 80 x 150mm) that fits neatly in the tool box drawer.
The 9048 set is for 3/8in drive impact drivers and the 9049 set for 1/2in drive drivers. The adaptors can also be used with a ratchet handle and/or extension bars for difficult to access fasteners.
