Mirka UK is expanding its innovative product portfolio with the launch of its first battery-powered grinding tool, which enables repairers to switch quickly to an accessory, so they have the right tool for the job at hand, increasing productivity and reducing repair times.

The versatile Mirka® ANGOS ARG-B200 can be used for multiple applications including metal grinding, paint removal, surface conditioning, cutting and deburring. A selection of accessories are sold separately to the tool enabling the technician to change the attachment quickly depending on the job. They include 50mm Quick-lock discs, Abranet® max flap discs, deburring tools, and other tools that fit a 6mm collet.

The Mirka® ANGOS ARG-B200 combines an ergonomic design with a variable speed control trigger to ensure the user has optimal control over the tool, no matter the application it is being used on. The battery reduces the user’s need to access pneumatic air hoses or electrical outlets to get the job done, which, in turn, leads to a tidier workspace.

In addition, the tool comes with Bluetooth® technology, which allows it to be paired with a variety of devices and enables the use of the myMirkapp app. The app provides several features that allow users to measure vibrations and track their daily vibration exposure, while also ensuring the tool performs at an optimal level.

Steve Smith national sales manager ART, Mirka UK, said: “We are constantly pushing the boundaries in tooling development and the ANGOS is the latest addition to our cordless line-up. This tool meets a need within the marketplace because of its versatility throughout the repair process. We believe it will be an asset to businesses because instead of spending time searching for a tool, technicians can quickly switch an accessory, saving time.”
