Here’s an interesting new kit destined for launch in early 2021.

It’s another Mazda MX-5-based package called the Tipo 184 and although not a replica it is directly inspired by the fifties Grand Prix car, the Alfa Romeo Tipo 158 Alfetta. Indeed Giuseppe ‘Nino’ Farina won the first world championship Grand Prix in an Alfa Romeo 158 at Silverstone in 1950.

Former kitcar manufacturer and TV presenter, Ant Anstead recently built a 158 tribute for his TV show, ‘Master Mechanic’ and the car is directly inspired by that.

We’ll bring you more details when we have them as information is quite scarce at the moment. We do know that kit prices will start at £8999 inc VAT and you can register your interest by visiting www.tipo184.com ENDS.
