Ravensberger Schmierstoffvertrieb GmbH better-known as RAVENOL has recently launched their new engine oil, RAVENOL EFE ‘Extra Fuel Economy’ SAE 0W-16.

The German lubricants manufacturer is the first company to release an engine oil with the viscosity 0W-16 on the market and the oil is first of the new generation of low viscosity engine oils in the world to be approved and licensed with the specification ‘API SN’ by the American Petroleum Institute (API).

This futuristic low viscosity lubricant, which uses revolutionary new additives such as Tri-nuclearem Molybdenum and OFM (Organic Friction Modifiers) to give it unique properties has been demonstrated to provide greatly improved fuel economy as well as extending the life span of the engine.

By reducing the emissions of greenhouse gases the use of RAVENOL EFE Extra Fuel Economy 0W-16 will also significantly help reduce the impact of the internal combustion engine on the environment, the maker’s claim.

Managing Director of RAVENOL UK Ltd., Brian Chase, is delighted with RAVENOL’s success: “To be the world’s first company offering an engine oil with a viscosity of 0W-16 and the specification API-SN, fills us with pride. We evaluate the success of this venture especially highly because RAVENOL is a medium-sized company with comparably limited resources.

“However, this can also be an advantage because the decision-making processes are relatively short and we can react to market demands more flexibly. We are especially looking forward to being able to provide our customers with this new range of high-quality products.”
