CYANA MK2 JOINED BY LA GOLD

A company called RJR Motorsport Fabrications of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire flies under the radar somewhat, but have been doing a great job for many years.

Run by Rob Johnston, they can produce all manner of metal parts for you particualry for circuit or short oval use. You name it Rob can more than likely fabricate it for you.

About fifteen years ago, Rob took over the Sylva Phoenix Mk1 project that had been made by Ian Boulton of Cyana Cars for several years. This is a different car to the Mk2 version that moved from Sylva Autokits to Stuart Taylor Motorsport to Raw Engineering to MK Sportscars!

Rob’s cars are mainstays in various 750 Motor Club Championships. He can still offer the original version but most of his business is done with what he calls the Cyana Mk2 version.

Not too long ago, Rob also acquired the Pro Comp LA Gold Lotus Seven-inspired project from the Gilmore family, another car that has always been successful in a variety of 750 Motor Club Championships, particularly within the Locost fraternity.

A new website is forthcoming although Rob can be reached via 07576 444 324 or search Facebook for ‘RJR Motorsport Fabrication’. Whisper this but there might well be road version availability coming soon, but don’t tell Rob I told you!
