New to the Laser Tools’ range are these three ‘LocSoc’ socket and bit sets launched as part of the company’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
The new 9328, 9329 and 9330 sets combine professional-quality chrome vanadium tooling with Laser Tools’ distinctive LocSoc magnetic socket rail system, designed to prevent sockets and bit holders from falling off during transport, storage or workshop use.
Unlike conventional socket rails that rely purely on friction, the patented LocSoc mechanism mechanically locks the socket onto the rail. To remove a socket, the socket or bit is simply tilted sideways to disengage the lock; when returned to the rail, tilt back again and it clicks securely back into place. The result is a storage system that keeps tools secure while still allowing quick one-handed access.
Each set is mounted on a double-line magnetic rail fitted with powerful magnets, allowing it to be attached directly to toolbox drawers, roll-cab sides, vehicle lifts, tool trolleys or other ferrous surfaces during use. This provides improved organisation, quicker tool selection and greater security when moving tools around the workshop.
All sockets are manufactured from chrome vanadium steel with a durable satin finish for corrosion resistance and long service life, while bits are produced from impact-grade S2 steel for strength and wear resistance.
The three sets are tailored for different workshop requirements:
9328 is a dedicated 1/4in drive bit socket set, ideal for technicians needing fast access to commonly used bit profiles:
24x 1/4in drive bit sockets, 37mm length.
Includes Phillips, PzDrive, Flat, Hex and Tamperproof Star profiles.
9329 combines 1/4in drive sockets and drive bits into a versatile mixed-use technician’s set:
12x 1/4in drive sockets from 4mm to 14mm.
30x screwdriver bits including Phillips, PzDrive, Flat, Hex, Star and Tamperproof Star profiles.
The set also includes 1/4in and 3/8in bit holders.
9330 focuses on traditional socket coverage, combining both 1/4in and 3/8in drive sockets in one compact rail-mounted set:
12x 1/4in drive sockets from 4mm to 14mm.
8x 3/8in drive sockets from 15mm to 24mm.
Includes 3/8in female to 1/4in male adaptor.
