The name Richard Oakes needs no introduction to long time kitcar enthusiasts, being one of the finest kitcar designers of all time. Even if you’ve not been a kitcar diehard you may recognise the name ‘Nova’ or ‘Midas’ or ‘GTM Rossa or Libra’, just three of Richard’s designs.

In recent years he has traded as Blackjack Cars, selling his glorious three-wheelers, the Avion and Zero.
Richard is taking things slightly easier these days and is about to re-launch is range of bulkhead bezels/grommets under his Trigger Automotive banner. He was producing the lovely Trigger handbrake set up but has sold this project on.

Typical of Richard, his bezels/grommets are things of beauty. They give super-efective, concentric support and wear protection for wires, pipes or cables, where they run through bulkheads, firewalls or diaphragm.
These beautifully little products come with a 5mm thick nitrile gasket which also has a vapour barrier.

When fitting you just need to cut out the centre hole in the gasket to the appropriate diameter. It is held in place by a bezel or compression ring, made from polished stainless-steel (316) or anodised aluminium (6082).
Four sizes are available in four sizes to cover the widest possible range of uses, with bezel centre hole diameters (marked on the front of the pack) of ONE (19mm), TWO (30mm), THREE (2 x 30mm) and Four (53mm).

They are very adaptable and can handle a single wire of, say, 2.5mm through a steering column at 43mm maximum. The largest one is split to allow retro fit around a cable or pipe of up to 20mm diameter.
Produced in west Cornwall, prices are very competitve for such a high-qulaity product. Packs one and two cost £8 each with packs three and four at £12 each. Stainless-steel screws are included in the pack.
