If you are a regular visotor to the large DIY store ‘sheds’ and Halfords stores, you may have seen the products of Ava of Norway on the shelves. The company primarily produces pressure-washers for the domestic user and they are gaining a real foothold in the UK.

A mate of mine recently bought one of their entry-level Ava-Go P40 models and is enjoying using it. The compact P40 is a three-cylinder pump type unit that weighs just over 6kg meaning you don’t have to lug a great big conjurer’s case from the garage or shed.

It has an impressive feel about it and has an admirable ten-year warranty. For your 120 quid spend you get the machine, a metal lance, a two nozzles (one for hard surfaces such as concrete, the other ideal for car use), a trigger attachment and 8 metres of hose.
Ah, but can it take the skin of a rice pudding, though? Sure, it’s not in the Kaercher K7 Premier’s class, but there again it doesn’t claim to be, but its 120-bar of pressure is good enough for most jobs. Not the cheapest of its type around but possibly among the best in terms of quality at the pricepoint.

The company sells a large range of pressure washers and to view the full range visit www.avaofnorway.com ENDS.
