This is a great addition to your tool collection. I first saw it the other day on the brilliant YouTube channel Val Tools (@val.tools). Have you seen it? Anyway, how irritating are broken or snapped bolts? Also, why does a bolt shear at the wrong possible time, often in a difficult-to-reach place?

Bolt extractors are nothing new, but my experience with them have been hit and miss to say the least. However, this new G-FORS set from GripEdge are the best and most effective I’ve yet seen.
Their fourteen-piece extractor set (part BBX14S) has various bits to tackle stuck or broken fasteners.
You drill the irritating bolt, hammer the extractor (straight-cut and not tapered to protect the thread) into the hole, then use a ratchet to remove it. I really like the added nice touch of a sleeve system, which helps remove the bolt from the tool.

Remember, if Val says it’s a good tool, it’s a good tool.
