Latest new product from Kitspares is this ATR Products Duratec 2.5-litre aluminium Sump (part number ENG0734)
Developed and fabricated in-house this new low-profile sump for Ford Duratec engines is a direct bolt-on replacement for the standard sump, specifically engineered to improve ground clearance by aligning with the height of the bellhousing. With the internal baffles it significantly reduces oil surge and starvation.
Designed for 2.3-litre and 2.5-litre Duratec engines, it also fits the 2-litre variant when used with an alternative pick-up pipe.
Additionally, this sump eliminates the need for the factory-fitted balance shaft assembly on 2.3- and 2.5-litre versions (with the addition of Kitspares’ ATR balance shaft delete kit) reducing weight and simplifying the bottom-end layout.
