OOH I SAY!

OOH I SAY!

A brand new model from Mills Extreme Vehicles to tell you about. Nothing unusual about that I hear you say, but it’s exciting news all the same.

Meet the MEV EXOBLADE a trackday-focused exo-skeletal car, hence the first part of the name with the ‘blade’ part denoting its Honda Fireblade engine.

Weighing in at just a smidgeon over 400kg this is the most power-mad MEV yet with a scorching power-to-weight ratio of 505bhp per tonne, thus giving it real hypercar beating performance potential.

The standard Honda CBR1000 Fireblade unit delivers about 178bhp although the Exoblade benefits from a Power Commander that lifts this figure to 202bhp! Grip is supplied courtesy of a set of Toyo R888Rs and the weight saving has partially been achieved by fitment of raiding some of the best performance aftermarket catalogues such as lightweight Fox alloy wheels, top-notch Tillett carbon-fibre seats, AVO alloy dampers and Wilwood brakes all-round.

No reverse gear on this one as standard but it is offered as an option, if required. So too is an MSA-spec rollbar if the customer wishes to show a clean set of heels to other bike-engined cars on track.

Body work is absolutely minimal and that aggressive front end is, well just menacing, it shouts ‘get out of my way’!

Prices are not available yet as the prototype has not been fully-tested and the guys at MEV will only offer what they consider to be a perfected, tested and proven product,
