Our mate Duncan Cowper is well-known for his on-track driving exploits over the years, most recently in a rather mad, yet beautifully built, Rush, now looking resplendent in its new colourscheme.

The car, with expert engine expertise from ex-F1, Mountune and Janspeed spannerman, Geoff ‘of the jumper’ Page, has recently undergone a bit of a rebuild. Some of this has revolved around the turbocharger.

Dunc enlisted the help of Turbo Dynamics, experts in their field with an enviable list of credits. The Christchurch, Dorset-based company uprated the compressor wheel for one of their far more efficient 76mm billet compressor wheel, with a More >

Well-known for their tuning, preparation and rolling-road prowess, Northampton Motorsport, has just gone one better with their superb and unique, ‘Carb Injection’ kit, initially devised for the Jaguar XK engine (3.8- and 4.2-litre), seen here, although other options are planned.

Almost too good to cover up with a bonnet, the kit has been designed in-house and really is very, very clever, with hidden throttle position sensor and Bosch injectors. The ensemble has been tested to 6-bar.

The package improves drivability, control and sophistication of fuel injection, while retaining the classic look of carburettors and the kit includes, three Northampton Motorsport-designed DCOi injector More >

Mini Spares has just announced their own crankshafts made from brand new forgings. The new cranks are based on the EN40B original items. They have large counter-balanced webs and bored holes for the big ends to reduce the reciprocating weight of the crankshaft.

It is not necessary for the customer to drill through the counterbalance webs. Forgings are known to be stronger than billets as the grain pattern follows the shape of the webs and bearings; this contrasts with the billet type cranks which are machined across the grain.

The Mini Spares forged crankshaft is supplied nitride and are designed for 1275cc More >

Keeping the recommended tyre pressure on our wheels provides better safety and efficiency on the road. This new tyre pressure gauge from Laser Tools (part number 6055) will make sure that your tyre pressures are set accurately.

As well as being known as a centre of engineering excellence, the Gloucester HQ of Forge Motorsport can now add the nomenclature of ‘cool meet venue’ to its corporate CV – as the impressive turn-out for the company’s inaugural Forge Brunch Club Meet proved.

The remit was nothing more complicated than inviting a few good people and their rides down for that tried-and-tested formula of admiring each other’s motors while snacking on something good to eat. Burgers, cars – and great people. It doesn’t get any better than that, does it really?
