DON’T FORGET SUN-SCREEN

Crawl under any modern car and you’ll probably find that the underbody is protected from exhaust and catalytic converter heat by a metallic foil-like material. You’ll probably also find a similar material in the engine bay protecting panels, components and wiring from radiant heat.

Now thanks to DEI’s new self-adhesive Heat Screen, you can have the same protection in your kit or classic car, camper van and racecar. DEI Heat Screen is made from ‘Mylar’ and foil-laminated to a glassfibre matting backed with an aggressive pressure sensitive adhesive for easy peel-and-stick application with high cohesion strength.

THE BIG THREE. IT WAS ALWAYS THE BIG THREE!

I’m a BIG fan of artist and photographer Keith Davies’ work – he specialises in short oval motorsport stuff and his latest ‘BIG THREE’ print took me straight back to my childhood and going with my late dad to venues like Aldershot, Wimbledon and Walthamstow to watch bangers and hot rods.

The print is so emotive for me I nearly burst into tears when I saw it. I confess to a definite lump in my throat. Showing George Polley (car 306; world champion 1976 & 1987), Mick ‘Duffy’ Collard (car 19; world champion 1980) and Barry Lee (car 351; world champion More >

IF THE REGULATORS SAY IT’S OKAY…

Carburettors don’t require the high fuel pressures of electronic fuel injection, but they still need a steady, regulated stream of fuel to operate properly. Summit Racing carries FUELAB Fuel Pressure Regulators designed just for carbs running on gasoline, E85, or methanol.

515 Series regulators are a bypass design with a -6 AN return port on the bottom. A choice of -6 AN or -10 AN inlet and outlet ports are available.

525 Series regulators have the same features as the 515 Series, but with the -6 AN return line port inline with the inlet/outlet fittings. That makes them ideal for use in More >
