It’s often been said that Factory Five Racing are the world’s largest maker of kitcars in terms of volume sales and there’s no doubt whatsoever that the company founded by brothers, Mark and David Smith delight many hundreds of customers each year.

Good to see the Factory Five Mk4 is now available to UK and European customers once more courtesy of Dutch company Hammink Performance

What started with a value for money pastiche of an AC Cars icon has grown into a large range of products. I certainly enjoyed the example I drove about seven years ago, when the kit was briefly offered for sale in the UK by a nice chap called Ian Hunter (No, not the Mott the Hoople one! Mind you, his latest album ‘When I’m President’ is FAB!) and it featured a nice build quality and a fierce Ford Mustang-spec V8.

Well, the news is that Factory Five Racing, now has a European distributor in the shape of Hammink Performance based in The Netherlands. The company founded by Freek Hammink offers the complete full range of FFR products: Mk4 Roadster, 33 Hot Rod, Type 65 Coupe, GTM, Challenge Car, and the all new Project 818, which has just been launched in the USA.

FFR 33 Hot Rod

The Hammink company, founded about four years ago, specialises in high-tech-upgrades, hot cars and tuning parts and the Factory Five products will fit nicely within their existing activities and they have demonstrators of the FFR models in the showroom. This gives the European customer the first real chance to take a good look at the products without crossing the Atlantic.

Hammink Performance has already started supplying UK customers with a GTM gen2 model being supplied to a Northamptonshire-based customer recently. In addition to supplying FFR kits, they can also sell you engines, gearboxes, wheels, tyres and much more.
