Mac Tools has introduced two new additions to its impact wrench range: the 3/8in drive AWP038, and AWP050C, a compact version of its ½in impact wrench nicknamed ‘The Daddy’.

The AWP038 packs a mighty punch for its size, producing 525lb/ft (712 Nm) of torque, dwarfing its nearest competitors by a considerable margin. Vibration levels are also well below those of its rivals. The AWP038 was developed by the brand’s global product team to include the market-leading features of the larger AWP050 ½in impact wrench. It boasts the same feather throttle and over-moulded grip for maximum operator control, as well as one-hand power adjustment and one-hand reverse system. The side-fed air motor features an innovative design that reduces the amount of parts used in construction and keeps weight down.

The AWP050C is the other new member of the Mac Tools impact wrench family and has been designed as a lighter-use version of the AWP050 ½in impact wrench. The AWP050C shares the unique features of its stable-mates and caters for users who require less power and a more compact design. Power is, however, still very respectable with 590lb/ft (800 Nm) of breakaway torque being produced by an impact wrench that weighs just 1.4kg.

Mark Hallum, UK marketing manager for Mac Tools, says: “we firmly believe we offer the very best impact wrenches in the world. These two new additions to the range – including the compact model – cater for the needs of workshop technicians at every level, ensuring we stay well ahead of our competitors.”
