The development of ‘tintop’ racing is covered vividly with images from every circuit raced on over the years, and of course of the most memorable cars that ever raced against each other, on them.

The Vauxhalls, Hondas and Seats of the modern era vie for space against historic Mini-Coopers, Ford Escorts, Chevrolet Camaros, Triumph Dolomite Sprints, Mazda RX-7s and many others.

This is not just a book about the winners either, it also concentrates on the likes of the 1-litre Sunbeam Rallye Imps and consistent class-winning kit such as the Ford Escort RS Turbos and Vauxhall Cavaliers, plus, thankfully the Ford Galaxie.

A lovely book that brought back a few memories for me, and it rightly celebrates a historic championship.
