Matt Taylor Band – No Trouble At All
Acclaimed by none other than the late, great blues artist, Long John Baldry, Matt Taylor is obviously a bit good.
Well, now, Taylor is back playing the blues again after a five-year hiatus doing other music and he and band have been making a big splash, once more.
Various and numerous live appearances have included The Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival and a stint supporting former England cricketer, Surrey CC Captain and soul singer, Mark Butcher, at The Royal Albert Hall!
This busy bout of activity has culminated in the album, ‘No Trouble At All’, an infectious blend of blues, country and soul, with definite Santana overtones at times.
Taylor’s debut album ‘Radio City Blues’ was released in 1995 and second album ‘Mad With The World’ recorded using proceeds from session work with the likes of Take That’s Gary Barlow and Spandau Ballet’s, Tony Hadley. After ‘MWTW’ Taylor earned his keep as a hired guitarist and played with all sorts from Lemar, David Bowie, Suggs, Tony Christie, Paul Young and Boy George.
‘No Trouble At All’ features 12 tracks, including seven originals, and the band’s unique interpretation of songs by The Allman Bros, Bob Dylan and Sheryl Crow.
