Exciting new launch.................at last weekend’s Race Retro show was the new Titan from classic car preparation specialist, Classic World Racing, run by Mike Luck, who raced a Westfield Eleven, in the Kit Car Championship back in the eighties.
The company has produced a version of the rare sixties TVR Tuscan (a UK-market version of the Griffith 400), using original moulds, which had been laying in a barn for 20-years. Only around 20 of the cars were made in period.
Mike commented: “Only 20 or so were made at the time partly due to supply issues with the 4.7-litre Ford V8 engine. So, it was great to recreate a race version ofr a Malaysian customer, but while doing so it struck me what a great little car it is, so we have now decided to go forward and build our own roadgoing version, which we have named the Titan.
A key member of the CWR Titan team is ex-TVR competition manager, Chris Schirle, who worked for the late Peter Wheeler, between 1982 and 1987 and was responsible for the successful 450 SEAC ‘wedge’ car.
Power for the Titan comes from a GM LS3 V8 engine producing 480bhp and a five-speed gearbox, linked to a limited slip differential and the car has a dry weight of 980kg.
Development of the roadcar continues although the company is aiming for an autumn launch although prices have been announced at from £49, 937.50 inc VAT.

The excellent Muc-Off...............range of motorsport cleaners and related products are being distributed by S.W.A.T Distribution based in Suffolk.
Available for many years for the bicycle, motorhome and many other sectors, S.W.A.T has brought the range to the motorsport arena.

Dirt can then be easily rinsed away, leaving behind corrosion inhibitors fore future protection.
