Had a little envelope arrive the other day that had some simply glorious gold-coloured Jubilee Clips inside and they were a kind gift from regular reader, Gary Sell.

Further checking revealed that Gary is part of a Bristol-based family run company called ORA Technologies and the clips he’d sent me were a small sample of what they offer their clients, including some real blue chippers, in terms of plating expertise. Turns out the items he’d sent me were plated in 24K gold on stainless steel…

This all got me thinking about how cool these would look on a blinged-up engine bay, of More >

Wolfrace, one of the UK’s best known alloy wheel brand, launches the hugely popular Eurosport Assassin in size 8x18in and 8½x20in and extends the colour finishes available.

The Assassin alloy wheel was launched into the Wolfrace Eurosport range approximately 12-months ago and has quickly become one of the Essex company’s most popular designs.

The size range of the Assassin has now been extended to include a new 8x18in and 8½x20in version.

The no-compromise approach to the manufacture of the wheel (and all Wolfrace wheels) means that the 8½x20in version is ‘weight-loaded’ and suitable for use on SUV and commercial vehicles.

The first company to really grasp the potential of Chris Gibbs’ ‘Haynes Roadster’ book was Hartlepool-based, Saturn Sportscars, founded by Andy Hugill.

For a couple of years, Andy was kept very busy supplying book readers with a selection of parts to aid in their builds, from a bracket to a chassis to a GRP panel set right up to a standalone Saturn Roadster kit. He even developed a Mazda MX-5-based version, too.

Sadly, ill-health has meant that Andy has had to sell his business, although it hasn’t moved far. Next door, in fact! The Saturn project has been acquired by Nathan Smith More >

GOOD GOOD display…

Our colleagues at Complete Kit Car magazine have for several years been hosting a fine and dandy British sportscar pavilion at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, along with a selection of kitcar manufacturers.

2012 will see an expansion of the theme with a dedicated area given the catchy moniker of ‘British Specialist Sports Car Show’, which promises to an important expansion in front of the large Goodwood audience, adjacent to the cricket pitch, which sounds very much like the fine hot rod display the organisers put on in 2010, where our own Tony Thacker brought over several superb cars from the More >
