The good old cable tie is very hard to beat. A multitude of uses makes it an essential item around the house, garage and toolbox. In addition to the usual stuff I’ve heard of some imaginative uses for the humble strip of plastic…

Several people have tried to reinvent it but most have failed because they never offered anything over and above what a cable tie could. However, the RAPSTRAP could be the future of such things.

If it sounds familiar, that could be due to it appearing on TV’s Dragons Den several years ago and gaining investment to boot.

The Rapstrap is very versatile and flexible meaning that they can be re-used by re-threading via the individual cells used in its construction. They can also be cut and re-used meaning there’s no waste. I’ve also used several joined together with success too.

A pack of 24 Rapstraps cost around £3.99 and they are available direct from the manufacturer or from outlets such as Screwfix, Homebase and Amazon.
