To celebrate the incredible projects Dremel users across the country create on a daily basis, the precision tool maker has now launched its very own Dremel It Yourself Club.

Keen hobbyists, from anyone who enjoys crafting, making, restoring and DIY-ing to name a few, are invited to join the Dremel It Yourself Club (DIY Club). Joining offers members the chance to get involved in a series of challenges set throughout the year, complete with the opportunity to win incredible Dremel prizes.

The first challenge has now been set and what better way to kick off the Club than sharing ways you have used your handy skills to benefit someone else? How have you DIY’ed for good? Let us know.

The DIY projects can be as wacky and wonderful or quirky and quaint as you like, but they must demonstrate how you have used DIY for good – e.g. created something for someone in need or made someone a special gift or built something to be auctioned for charity for instance. Entries will then be given a score out of 100 on each of the following categories;

creativity – practicality – complexity

Those wanting to get involved firstly need to register their interest at https://bit.ly/DremelClub or, from a PC, on the Dremel Facebook page, where full terms and conditions can be seen.

Details of the first challenge will be sent as soon as you have registered. Further challenges will be set throughout the year and, again, those registered will be notified as soon as each challenge is launched.

Entries to the first ‘DIY for Good’ challenge can be entered in one of the following formats;

a written blog of the project with at least one image

a pictorial step-by-step of the project being made

a video of the project being made

Entries for ‘DIY for Good’ can be sent via email to DremelDIYClub@wpragency.co.uk.

The deadline for this challenge will close on Monday the 28th of March at 11.59pm.
