A product that had fascinated me for a while turned out to be as exciting as I hoped once I got the chance to check it out at first hand at last week’s Race Retro stand, where GaugePilot was sharing a portion of exclusive agent’s, Holden Vintage & Classic’s stand.

Taking styling cues from the classic Speedmaster display, GaugePilot is a digital version from two UK engineers, offering a staggering 32-channels of data. It’s the ultimate onboard information system for classic, motorsport and of course, discerning kitcar owner.

A crystal clear LCD non-reflective display, fitted into a period-looking unit (polished or crackle finish) the unit constantly monitors and informs via its intuitive software. The display is via two classic-style gauges, with on-screen and audible warnings for all of your car’s vital signs. It also has ambient temperature warnings and ice risk alarm built-in.

It really is a stunning piece of kit and a visit to www.gaugepilot.co.uk is a must.

Currently, Holden Vintage & Classic is offering an exclusive on-the-road kit, which features everything you need to get up and running priced at £1399. The GaugePilot features ambient temperature warning, coolant temperature, oil temperature, speedo cable pulse sensor, oil pressure sensor, under-dash mounting bracket, wiring loom with connectors, warning buzzer (6-12-volt) and warning light (6-12-volt).

Holden Vintage & Classic founder, Jeremy Holden, used the GaugePilot successfully with his navigator, Angelica Fuentes Garcia, in his historic ex-works Sunbeam Tiger, on the Classic Monte Carlo rally and also Tour Ireland 2015.
